One trimester later, the expectant couple’s Greene Street loft is off the market
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo listed their Soho loft shortly after the couple announced they were expecting, and just about one trimester later in June 2016, the apartment entered contract (h/t NYO). The Soho digs are not the most practical for a baby: the apartment has just one large bedroom, and with the way some celebs these days are dishing out bills akin to college tuition to simply decorate a nursery, it seems sharing a bedroom with baby simply wouldn’t do.
The couple purchased the Greene Street loft in August 2014 for $4.45 million and promptly embarked on a renovation that removed a second and third bedroom in favor of a more open living area (foresight: not everyone’s strong suit). In the two years since the couple purchased the apartment, they’ve brought in some pretty celeb-worthy decor, including a pool table with inlaid accents and a chic chandelier.
The 2,800-square-foot loft was first listed in April for $5.5 million. Levine is also in the throes of selling his 7,100-square-foot house in Beverly Hills (that Proactiv endorsement did the singer well), for which he’s asking $17.5 million.
The Post now reports that the celeb duo sold the loft to shoe designer Nick Lucio for $5.4 million, just under the $5.5 million asking price. Lucio is the co-founder of shoe brand Dolce Vita.
