The apartment boasts a large deck off the living room and two wood-burning fireplaces
Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
We live in a world where Brooklyn townhouses priced under $1 million don’t exist, but there’s still hope to at least occupy an apartment in one. The latest member of the Six Digit Club is a two-bedroom apartment at the landmarked Cobble Hill townhouse 12 Cheever Place. It’s got some good stuff going for it: townhouse details like fireplaces, moldings, high ceilings and some exposed brick, not to mention its own outdoor space.
The lovely wood deck is located off the combined living and dining area, which boasts its own working wood-burning fireplace. (There’s another wood-burning fireplace, surrounded by a marble mantle, in the master bedroom.) Each space in the apartment has its own charms. Even the kitchen, which isn’t large, looks nice with white cabinets, stainless appliances and a dishwasher.
12 Cheever is a three-unit co-op with relatively low maintenance, at $706/month. This particular apartment is located on the second floor, just above the parlor. We suspect it won’t last very long on the market, as two real bedrooms, outdoor space and a desirable Brooklyn location—all just a hair under $1 million—is likely to pique buyer’s interest.
